Segmental retaining walls and planting on a residential grade.

Services

Three crews of practice — hardscape, landscape, and excavation.

Calm sites, clean mobilization, drainage you can read on the plan — crews that show up when we say they will.

Each pillar below lists the scopes we self-perform — what's included, typical lead windows, and where we hand off to licensed trades. If you are not sure where your property fits, book a site visit and we will match you to the right crew.

Specialty

Hardscape renovations

Finished stone and unit paving — patios, walls, drives, paths, and built-in planters on engineered base, restraint, and documented specs.

Hardscape renovations

Stone, paver, and concrete work that holds true ten years out.

3–8 weeks scope-dependentFlagship service

Patios, retaining walls, paver driveways, fire-pit pads, outdoor kitchens, stairs, and stone veneer. We base every install on engineered sub-base — proper depth, geotextile, compacted lifts, edge restraint — because a beautiful surface fails fast on a thin base. Materials sourced from regional yards (Mutual, Mountain View, Bedrock) with a documented spec sheet.

Typical scope

  • Concrete & flagstone patios with proper sub-base
  • Allan-block, segmental, and natural-stone retaining walls
  • Paver driveways & permeable installations
  • Outdoor stairs, fire pit surrounds, BBQ pads
  • Repair of failed installs from previous contractors

Driveway removal & replacement

Tear out the cracked slab; rebuild on a base that lasts.

1–3 weeks

Concrete, asphalt, paver, and gravel driveways. We remove existing surfaces, rebuild the sub-base to engineered spec, and replace in your chosen finish. Permeable paver options available where municipal stormwater requires.

Typical scope

  • Demolition, haul-out, and disposal
  • Sub-base prep with proper geotextile and aggregate
  • Concrete pour with reinforcement & control joints
  • Paver, permeable, or asphalt finish
  • Grade tie-ins to garage slab and street curb

Pathways & garden steps

Walking lines that read like they were always there.

5–10 business days

Flagstone, paver, gravel, and stepper pathways with proper edge restraint. We design lines that match the way the property is actually used — front walk, garage-to-back-door, beds, gates — and make them safe in winter with grippy finishes and grade.

Typical scope

  • Flagstone & natural-stone walks
  • Concrete or stone garden steps with proper risers
  • Decomposed granite & gravel walks with edging
  • Path lighting conduit (sub electrical for fixtures)
  • Slip-resistant finishes for winter conditions

Planters & raised beds

Built-in planters in stone, steel, or cedar — not pots that fall over.

5–14 business days

Permanent planter installations, raised vegetable beds, and structural retaining planters. Designed for our climate — drainage holes that actually drain, soil profiles tuned to the plant pallet, and frost-resistant materials.

Typical scope

  • Stone & concrete-block built-in planters
  • Corten and powder-coat steel raised beds
  • Western red cedar food-safe vegetable beds
  • Drip irrigation tied to existing zones
  • Soil custom-blended for the planting plan

Specialty

Landscape renovations

Softscape, reset, and grounds work — full-yard plans, bed rejuvenation, large cleanups, pruning, and controlled washing where plantings need protection.

Landscape renovations

Tear out the tired plan; build a yard that ages with the house.

2–6 weeks scope-dependentFlagship service

Full back- and front-yard rebuilds. We start at the grade and work up — soil quality, drainage paths, sun and shade, sight lines from the kitchen window. Our planting plans use Pacific-Northwest natives layered with structural evergreens, so the garden looks intentional in February as well as July.

Typical scope

  • Site analysis, grade & soil assessment
  • Planting plan with seasonal colour & low-water natives
  • Bed shaping, mulch beds, lawn establishment
  • Mature plant relocation where possible
  • Two-year establishment guarantee on installed plants

Garden renovations

Re-design existing beds with structure, layered planting, and seasonal interest.

5–10 business days

Targeted overhauls of existing garden beds. We keep what's working (mature shrubs, established trees, healthy soil) and rebuild what isn't — bad spacing, fading colour, weed-prone gaps, lifted edging. Best for properties where the bones are good but the planting needs a rethink.

Typical scope

  • Audit existing planting; flag keep / move / replace
  • Edging rebuilt in steel, stone, or concrete
  • Topdressing with composted soil and bark mulch
  • New planting layered for height and bloom calendar
  • Drip-irrigation extensions where existing zones reach

Bed layout with steel edging, string lines, and wheelbarrows on dark soil.

Large-scale property cleanups

Multi-acre yards, foreclosures, end-of-tenancy, post-storm — handed back ready for renovation.

4–7 business daysFlagship service

When a property has gotten away from someone — overgrown, storm-damaged, full of debris, or coming out of years of neglect — most companies stall on the assessment. We mobilize. Three-crew yard, bins on order the same morning, and a documented before-during-after package so insurers, realtors, or new owners have receipts. Common scopes include selective tree removal, brush clearing, debris and dump runs, sod and weed removal, full hand-cuts on overgrown beds, and grade rebuild where erosion has set in.

Typical scope

  • Brush, blackberry, ivy, knotweed clearance
  • Storm damage, downed limbs, debris haul-out
  • Overgrown lawn reset, bed reclamation, edging
  • Selective tree removal & stump grind (sub-arborist where required)
  • Photo documentation for insurance / strata / sale prep

Not us

  • Hazardous-waste remediation (soil contamination)
  • Asbestos abatement

Pruning & seasonal shape

Pruning that respects the plant — not topiary by the truckload.

3–7 business days

Selective pruning of shrubs, hedges, and small trees following ANSI A300 best practice. We do not 'top' trees. For specimen trees over 30 ft we coordinate with a certified arborist.

Typical scope

  • Hedge shaping (cedar, laurel, boxwood)
  • Ornamental shrub pruning by species & season
  • Fruit tree winter & summer pruning
  • Small-tree crown thin & raise (under 30 ft)
  • Renewal pruning for overgrown beds

Pressure washing

Driveways, patios, fences, decks — clean without etching.

3–7 business days

Hot- and cold-water pressure washing with surface cleaners that protect the substrate. We pre-treat for moss and algae, mask sensitive plantings, and finish with sealing where the surface calls for it.

Typical scope

  • Driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks
  • Fence and shed exteriors (cedar, vinyl, composite)
  • Wood deck stripping (cleaning, not refinishing)
  • Roof soft-wash for moss treatment
  • Sealer application on concrete & paver patios

Specialty

Excavation services

Equipment-first work — laser grading, drainage construction, bulk materials in and out, and controlled concrete cutting for tie-ins through existing slabs.

Excavation & site grade

Mini-excavator and grade work you can build a foundation on.

3–10 business days

We run our own compact equipment — 1.7T, 3.5T, and 5T classes — for excavation, trenching, and grade work. Common scopes include foundation strip-outs, footing trenches, drainage trenches, retaining-wall benches, and full-yard grade rebuild for new lawns or hardscape.

Typical scope

  • Foundation strip-outs to engineered grade
  • Trenches for drainage, irrigation, and conduit
  • Retaining-wall bench cuts with compacted lifts
  • Site grading with laser level / GPS rover
  • Spoil disposal, including contaminated where permitted

Drainage diagnosis & rebuild

Find the water, move the water, document the system.

5–14 business days

When a yard floods, a basement seeps, or a slope is sliding, drainage is almost always the answer — but the diagnosis matters. We probe, dig test pits where needed, and design a system that ties into existing storm where possible. French drains, channel drains, dry wells, downspout extensions, and full regrading are all common scopes.

Typical scope

  • Site investigation & water-path mapping
  • French drains in trenched gravel envelopes
  • Channel drains across hard surfaces
  • Dry wells, sump tie-ins, daylight outlets
  • As-built documentation of every line and depth

Bulk delivery — small or scale

Soil, stone, gravel, mulch by the yard. Demolition spoil out by the load.

Often same week

Standalone bulk delivery, single load or fleet day. Our truck-and-trailer combos handle 1–14 yard loads, and we have access partners for tandem and tridem work where the driveway can't take a small dump.

Typical scope

  • Topsoil, garden mix, sand, drain rock, road base
  • Bark mulch, cedar chip, decorative aggregates
  • Cobble, flagstone, and pallet stone delivery
  • Demolition spoil & green-waste haul-out
  • Tandem & tridem partners for high-volume work

Concrete cutting, coring, placement, and reinstatement

Open the slab with control — tie-ins and sleeves without replacing the whole pour.

5–12 business days scope-dependent

Controlled sawcutting, core drilling, removal, and reinstatement of concrete on residential, strata, and commercial sites. Used to open access for drainage tie-ins, conduit pulls, sleeve passes, and trench work without tearing out the surrounding slab. Cuts are wet to manage dust and slurry, edges are kept square for a clean re-pour, and reinstatement is finished to grade with matching joint lines.

Typical scope

  • Walk-behind and hand saw cuts in slabs, aprons, curbs, and stair landings
  • Core drilling for drainage tie-ins, downspout leaders, and electrical conduit
  • Controlled break-out and haul-off of removed pieces
  • Re-pour and finish to existing grade with matched control joints
  • Slurry control and site clean-down at the end of each cutting day

Not us

  • Engineered structural slab repair (we coordinate with the engineer of record)
  • Asbestos / hazardous-substrate cutting
